From the days when LucasArts could do no wrong (and weren't beating a dead tauntaun with Star Wars cash-ins) comes a painfully difficult (and enjoyable) romp where you (and likely a frien) are forced to throw popsicle sticks at the wolfman so he won't eat the guy who is hanging around grilling.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (PS2)

This series managed to do something with mech combat that was seemingly undone before then. Instead of the usual "fat man wading through a pool of thick jello" approach most mech games take, these mechs not only move at a reasonable pace but are, in fact, quite fast.
